What Is CuzWeCare?
CuzWeCare is a non profit organization that is dedicated to bringing comfort to those in need. We provide these items free of charge to anyone who needs them.

In addition to our comfort pillows, Our volunteers also make a variety of items that we distribute to our recipients. We have groups knitting and crocheting chemo caps and lap afghans as well as our "infamous" comfort pillows and other items..

Who Is CuzWeCare?
We are made up of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds that rely on our diversity to help enrich the lives of those who are going through rough times.

In addition to providing products to those in need we provide high school students with a means of giving back to the community; We provide Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts a venue to work on their community service requirements. We also work with seniors, adult day centers and Adaptive Living Skill students to provide them with the opportunity to increase their self-esteem and to assist them in helping others. In short, we work with many, many caring individuals who wish to dedicate their time, talents and efforts to help those whom they most likely will never meet.

Why CuzWeCare?
CuzWeCare was formed in December 2004 when we realized that there are many communities of caring people who wish to help those in need. These volunteers would like to provide others with some type of comfort and with the thought that someone is thinking about them.

Since these people care so much for others, and since we care both for them and for the patients, CuzWeCare was 'born'.

How We Are Doing
In our first nine months, we provided comfort to patients in 8 area hospitals, 12 cancer treatment centers, 2 kidney dialysis centers, 2 area shelters, a soup kitchen, 2 local Police Departments, an end-of-life care facility and many, many individuals both locally and throughout the country.

In our first few years of existence, we have provided over 60,000 comfort pillows to those in need and this number continues to grow rapidly. Please keep in mind as you read this that these numbers do not include any of the other items that CuzWeCare makes and distributes, nor is it our intention to continually update these numbers on this page.
